For Men With HUGE Collections...

Thanx (again) to Sarah, I have discovered a site called LibraryThing. If I don't post here in the next 1-300 days, it's because I'm buried under ISBN's there.

Sometimes, life is just grand.

Comments:

Nice going Andy. You just robbed what few minutes of nightly sleep I had left.

Thanks.

You're welcome!

it's true. thanks a lot. i instantly had to do one square of my shelf; only 13 left.

Anyone figure out how to find other people yet? Not by book, I mean, but by name?

Here is a reason to cheer for someone on the other team tonight

What the hell? Unless your book collection consists entirely of old issues of The Hockey News and Ken Dryden/Roy MacGregor shaggy dog stories, then I'm going to pretend this ubernerd post never existed.

Oh sure, but your boyfriend Matt gets to post on the Ralph Klein roast without reprimand...

Whoa, slow your engine big rig.

If you will recall, Matt thoughtfully started his post with an amusing hockey related story (Ference standing-O) that dovetailed nicely into the Klein roast. He also put in the health warning "NON-HOCKEY-RELATED EXTRA" in big bold capital letters just to make sure those of us who only care about hockey didn't have to waste the 33 seconds it took to read it.

You? You just barfed up a 100% nerd post. Hey, if you want to sit around in your underwear and swap critical reviews of the latest Margaret Atwood with your literatti friends, who am I to judge? But dude, at least make a token effort to amuse my hockey sensibilities.

Meh. I'm just screwing with ya. I've already checked it out. My favourite book nerd website is still bookcrossing. You wouldn't believe the number of books I've left in the free dropoff at Safeway with a BCID, hoping that someday I'll be able to track where it has gone. Sadly. No takers.

Whoa.

This could take some time. I currently own about 1100 books.

(Maybe I should call in sick to work.)
