Ouch!

I haven't spoken to Fenwick, but all evidence suggests that yesterday was a rough one for the kid:
I feel for ya buddy, I really do.

Comments:

Was it just me, or did Huselius look just as good as Samsonov out there last night?

Seriously though, did anyone else notice that the Oilers new powerplay unit of Smyth-Hemsky-Samsonov has one major flaw? Smyth plays centre on that unit and he didn't win a single face-off last night, he lost all 6 that he took.

Great 1st period, and great 3rd period and excellent overtime.

I sure hope the Flames don't think that 2 goals is enough to win the rest of their games this season.

I'd run out Samsonov-Stoll-Smyth with Hemsky and Pronger on the points. After the draw, have Stoll and Hemsky switch.

One funny part of Matt's stinkbomb entry is that even the one backhandedly positive thing he said about the Oilers--viz., that Calgary "wouldn't score any weak ones"--was wrong.

You guys should bring on CalPuck's Lanny MacDonald as a special guest commentator-Fenwick is entirely too reasonable and restrained as your Flames guy. Stuff like this would really turn up the temperature here:

All the retards from Edmonton can continue to hurl their feces at each other in celebration of thier "amazing victory", but the bottom line is that the Oilers were outplayed for much of the night and they deserved to lose that game. If the players don't recognize this, then the Oilers are setting themselves up for a huge fall, which is exactly what I expect. IF the Oilers managed to make the playoffs I have no fear they will be gone in short order (five games max). Performances like last night don't carry a team thorugh the playoffs.

Now THAT'S trash talk. Utterly insane, but trash talk.

Not according to NHL.com he didn't.

3W/3L in the offensive zone on the PP.

NHL.com got it wrong, they may count a face-off a win because the Oiler player forechecks to get the puck back, but I still count that a loss.

its not the first time NHL.com stats have been skewered.
