Oilers Game Day - Avalanche
| ||||
Season Record: 35-24-12 | Season Record: 39-25-7 |
Well, the Canucks back to back to back solved nothing.
A few quick thoughts on last night's game:
- Hemsky is driving me crazy. Lord knows he has skills, but man does he turn it over a lot -- and in bad places
- The defensive clinic the Oilers put on for the last 10 minutes of the third was incredible. Have they closed out a game that well this season?
- Smytty was dynamite
- Samsonov continued his PPG average with the Oilers
- A great game by the vets -- nice to see
- Apparently, Conky was sent to Colorado a day ahead of the rest of the team so that he could stew in his hotel room all alone and completely psych himself out for today's game. Fantastic!
- A win tonight combined with a Flames' loss really confuses things. I want this to happen.
- San Jose vs Chicago
- Calgary vs Dallas
Comments:
Well, I meant as in "why don't we play Markkanen before we play Conklin" but this matters not: Roloson will have to play until he dies.
OILERERZZZZ!!!!
[puckhat spinning on his head]
Roloson has only played 34 games so far this year. The light workload he had in Minnesota turns out to be one of the hidden bonuses of the trade...
Is it just me, or did he finally look comfortable tonight? Maybe it was the new mask, but he didn't look as nervous out there as he has recently.
One good thing about the Vancouver series, it seems to have woken the team up. They're playing a hell of a lot better.
