Incest is Best -- it's the game the whole family can play!

Kelly Buchberger is the new head coach of Milhouse and the rest of the gang down in Springfield. Unsurprisingly, 96% of the news release has to do with Bucky's 13 years as an Oiler rather than his approximately zero years of experience, you know, actually being a head coach.

In happier news, Mrs. Sacamano, Sacababy and I have decided that a life commuting between Sheffield & Siberia just doesn't provide the Oilers content we require. So, we're moving to the big T.O., which is clearly the heart of the Oilogosphere.

GOIL!

Comments:

meh,

The front office has also hired:

Jeff Truitt to Springfield asst coach -- not a past Oiler player
Rick Olcyk to capologist role -- not a past Oiler player, and I challenge anyone to tell me he is not fully and uniquely qualified for this role
Bob Mancini to Development Coach -- not a past Oiler player, and definitely qualified

3 important hires that were not incestuous. None more important than the capologist. (law degree, former NHLPA legal counsel)

BTW, welcome back sac.

Wait, are you really moving to Toronto? Or are you just telling us that but won't actually make it here?

Har har. I'll try to set an alarm this time.

Sweet, so Sacamano is back as the Oilers half of this blog then?

Nay, sir. I'm just back on the same continent.

Clearly coaching the Kelowna Rockets for three years, winning a WHL Championship, and developing young players made Jeff Truitt unsuitable to lead the baby oil.

Forget fundamentals and actual experience, what kids like Robbie Shrempf need are more stories about how great life was in the 80's, and how a cheap mullet, a white suit, and a Stanley Cup ring could bag you any piece of skirt that strolled Whyte Ave.

On another note, how long until someone starts a thread dedicated to how Kevin Lowe traded John Tavares for Dustin Penner?

Sometimes I think editors are overpaid. Then I see a headline-copy pairing like this and the feeling evaporates.

Coming to the big smoke, huh? What's the story? Drop me a line.

Oh and we are on EST, big fella.

Just a reminder.

Welcome to Toronto. There's a bunch of Alberta bloggers out here, but unfortunately the Toronto Flames blogger meetups put the Toronto Oiler blogger meetups to shame...maybe you can change that!

Errrr, yeah. Obviously the headline should be paired only with the first paragraph of the copy and should decidedly not be paired with the second paragraph. Eeeesh.

So you're moving back to Canada in light of Grabia's "retirement" from BoA? That's what the post was about, right? Coming back to BoA? Right?!?

Oh, kickass blog, btw.

Dave, maybe the TO Oilers bloggers need an outreach program to KW then. There may be somebody there who occasionally writes about the Oil.

Just sayin. :)

Ran out of reading material in Siberia? We did the best we could to recommend titles! :)

This blog really needs a full-time Oilers voice again. It's a little lopsided having Matt represent the Flames and Andy retiring only to show up for special projects.

Er, Dave? Don't you keep on flaking out on the rest of us GTA-area Flames bloggers?

I'm just saying...

mikep: I'm in K-W weekly.

Leanne: I'm there in spirit. I'm also your imaginary friend, or so I thought. ;)

dave - ah, well, perhaps we could meet up for a beverage some week then, although I see I misinterpreted your comment and you would be a Flames type. :)

Andy is a special project...
