Simply The Next

The Edmonton Journal has finally gotten around to replacing the picture of Ryan Smyth on their Oilers page with...Joffrey Lupul? Does this mean he's the next to be traded? Because I can get behind that, if the page works as some sort of advanced warning system.

And what look is that anyway? Is that Blue Steel? Ferrari? Le Tigra? That's not Magnum, is it? He hasn't actually dropped Magnum on us, right? You gotta tame the beast before you let it out of its cage, Joffrey!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have an after-funeral party to attend.

You would have preferred Mini-Magic?

Zoolander: the Franchise.

He looks so sad...

He's the face of the franchise now.

I see what you guys mean about this Edmonton Journal of yours ... Wings Win Eliminates the Oilers

Pretty sure the Flames won last night. Pretty sure it was THE FLAMES who eliminated the Oilers.

Bwa Ha Ha

But tonight I am an Oilers fan.

Go Flames.

Joffrey's waiting for the right moment.

He's waiting for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final, in triple overtime.

Then Grabia will shout out that there's no Magnum, Joffrey will go into a corner, turn left out of it, actually come out with the puck, blue radiance will explode from his person, and the puck will rise up and levitate in mid air for a split second that seems like an eternity, before it tears forward cutting a swath through the entire opposition team and ripping through their net.

You realise, if Joffrey Lupul looked like Rod Brind'Amour, he'd be the most beloved player in Oilers history, and probably not having to skate with two bricks for 60 games a year.

It's hard being beautiful, guys.

For a franchise with 12 straight losses - he's a fitting face

Ripping me off, Andy?

There's GOT to be more to life than being really, really, really good looking... like scoring a $#@!&^* goal.

He looks constipated.
