Comments:

GOLORADO, definitely!

Leave me a spot on that train, fer sher, Golorado indeed. Gotta make sure they beat us, too

In their two games vs. the Oil MacT ices at least 2 lines comprised of those little kids that play during intermission, and pulls Roli every time the Avs have a scoring chance.

When later questioned about his behaviour, MacT screams something about being on mescaline, and will only field questions in esperanto.

GOLORADO!

On a vaguely related note, Smid's down, and Bisaillon's up..

Now they're playing short handed, AND there's literally nobody else to call up. Egad.

would anyone in this city complain if they intentionally tanked those two against the avs?

I like GOLORADO! I've been secretly cheering the Avs since the Oilers started this losing bender.

"Golarado" comes close to sounding like "goal-arado". I approve.

I cannot bring myself to cheer for the Avalanche to win, merely for the Flames to lose. I shall have to take a neutral stance on this one. FAUXLORADO, as it were.

One can not happen without the either. Pick a side. Or are you a Liberal? Because then I know you have no choice but to not take a stand.

AG, throwing the games have nothing to do with it man:) The Oilers don't have the juice to beat anyone even if they tried as hard as they could.

Seriously.

Plus, even if 83 comes back and fuck even if 16 came back as well, there's still the matter of no one being able to make a pass from the backend and or how we spend way too much time in our zone before the 76 and 40's are just overmatched.

If 83 and 24 manage to get back for the last five games then we might win one. Otherwise I just can't see it happening.

I was for Colorado before I was against them...

Well played.

Hey, 34 could score 17 goals in the next ten games. That's how he rolls. We can't take that chance. THROW IT!

Hatred for the Flames? Check.

I'm in.

You gonna feel better or worse if Calgary gets in? The math is pretty simple.

Sometimes, young Andrew, even doing the right thing can make you feel dirty.

Feel clean, old Colby. Feel clean. It's not like it's Dallas or Vancouver.

Poor Oiler Fans. Even when you switch teams, you still end up cheering for a loser.

Actually, I said we AREN'T cheering for the Canucks.

I'm on the Avs train. I know an Avs fan, he'll be happy I'm not ragging on the Theo trade for a couple of weeks.

Though really, $5.5M for a doorman? I realize Lorenzo Music is no longer an option, but Jesus...

Colorado--overtime win over the Sharks gives them 80 points to Calgary's 84, with those two head-to-head games remaining.

Arabic proverb: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." There is nothing wrong with cheering for another team temporarily. It isn't a change of heart, just a move born of expedience. Consider it an exercise in realpolitik and don't worry about it.

As a die hard Avs fan, I wholeheartedly approve of any Oilers fans jumping on the Colorado Bandwagon.

I'll even let you on if you cheer for your Oilers in their back-to-backs against Colorado this week and then cheer for the Avs to catch Calgary.

Being a Flame-hater and a huge Joe Sakic fan, this is an easy one.

Go Avs Go.

Good night 'round the league. Capitals, Kings, and Avs with wins.

The Avs play Edmonton twice and Phoenix once in that span! Victory is assured! GOLORADO!

Too easy. I'm in.

Booooo! Sacrilege!

Right now I'am so hockey-embittered I can't cheer for anyone ...
But to see the Flames to go down their river of futility that's what I always would feast on.

Right now all I can do is wait for the baseball season and hope that by the time it starts the Maple Leafs have been mathematically eliminated so that we can stop seeing 50,000 stories a week about how they're fighting for a playoff position (which, I recall, we endured last year as well even when they were as far back as the Oilers are now whilst Edmonton/Minnesota/Vancouver were duking it out for the 8th playoff spot until the last day of the season)

how mean-spirited and petty of you Andy.

Well done. I'd do the same in your shoes.

Go Flames.

They'll always be the Nords to me.

GORDS?

I like that. Is an O manditory? How about GIQUES!

damn you made me bring bad karma on the canucks. i actually thought it would be kinda nice if Colorado won one of their three games remaining against them.

and for what? Nothing soothes the heartache of an oiler fan quite like seeing the calgary fan's heartbreak.

One can not happen without the either. Pick a side. Or are you a Liberal? Because then I know you have no choice but to not take a stand.

Actually, my preference is for these two teams to not play at all and for us to fund a multi-billion-dollar stick registry. So yes!

Nothing soothe's this Avs fan like hatred fueled fandom for us.

All right you Johnny come lately Allez Avalanche fans -- you've now been given a Hobbesian choice: Do you cheer on your team to a franchise record 12th (and then 13th) consecutive loss this week in their home and home against your new boyfriends, Joe and the boys, ... or do you join me in an exceedingly rare ... GOILERS?

Go Flames. Wings suck, Preds suck, Canucks suck and so on.

No brainer. Feeding Colorado points will hopefully scuttle the Flames' post-season dreams, while a franchise record futility streak could help land a ghigh draft pick and hopefully get someone's ass fired (at this point I don't car who). GOAVS!

Long live the Flames' hater's club. I will be a proud and loyal member to the death...at least until next year if the AVS are in contention with the beloved Oilers. All Flames' haters need pool their spiritual powers together today in an effort to give the AVS the will and way tonight to defeat the skaters from hell. If you are not a religious person....damnit, fake it! Most folks do anyhow. Thank you!
Long live the AVS and Flames' hater's club!!!
