Blackgold Prison Blues
And I ain't seen the Schremp shine since, I don't know when.
I'm stuck in Blackgold Prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that Traktor keeps a-rollin' on down to Ed Montone.
Comments:
Is it just me, or do they repeat the same 3 or 4 goals several times in that video? Probably doesn't bode well for our expectations if they could only make a 2 minute highlight reel using slow motion and repeat footage. Still, seems like a fairly fast and agile player for such a large body. Should be interesting to see him, hopefully at the Golden Bears game.
Looks like he's really close to being a done deal, and could be in town this weekend. I wonder what number he will wear? #7 is hanging from the rafters. Could he be 77? Ooh, that would look good across my back.
I noticed if you click on his name on the rookie camp roster to go to his bio page - it lists him with #8.
Also, I thought it was kind of interesting that Schremp is listed with #44. I guess there's no else ahead of him in line for that one now. I kind of thought that no one would want it for a while. Of course if he wears it then he has to wear it with authority and actually make us not think of He Who Shall Not Be Named each time we see it.
If Schremp wears #44, the Oilers should do a promotional stunt where they replace the name of every #44 jersey in the city with his. Then we could make a quilt with the disposed of name, infect it with smallpox, and send it lovingly to California.
And yes, I agree that Traktor's stick is huge. Take that any way you want to.
Man, that was sure some funky ass music they put with that clip.
Remeber, speak softly BUT carry a big stick.
I bet the guy who wrote that music often goes on at great length about how he "has no formal music training. Seriously, dude, never took a lesson. It's just this gift I was born with."
He Looks really slick out there, can't wait for Phaneuf to line him up on the blueline, unless someone else gets to him first. But at the very least it should make for some more nice Youtube footage.
