WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Whoooo boy! That, my friends, is what playoff hockey is all about. What an absolutely spectacular game. A pleasure to watch. I'm simultaneously exhausted and totally jacked up.

Just some quick hits before I go lie in my bed and fail to sleep:

Boy that was some good hockey, eh?

Comments:

WOOOOOHHH!!!!!

I should have written more about it on CinO, but Ryan Smyth is almost more of a true Oiler than a lot of those glory guys.

There's no way in hell I'd show up back to work if someone knocked my teeth out half way through my shift. Fuck that. I'd go to the dentist and cry the entire way there.

Yes.

Sac, you should be kissing my ass, not talking shit. I'll let it slide cuz your tired, but I expect full thanks in the morning. You too, Winters!

Hey, I'm working the karma train, too.

Good job, Mirtle! But Sac can't blame the losses all on me, then not give me the credit for the win.

Where's Fenwick? We need him to come and explain to us that character and will have no place in accounting for the events that unfold in a hockey game.

[guffaw] Fine, the Sharks lost because they gave up and have no heart. That's how this works, right? Also, agreed with Sacamano: that was an epic save on Cheechoo by Roloson['s character]. 99% of great saves look less remarkable on the slo-mo replay; that one probably looked better.

I think they needed to call more goaltending interference penalties on San Jose.

That Roloson save was huge. Cheechoo was trying to go glove side all night.

Good work Andy. You're doing your part.

Was that Raffi Torres being a factor?

With that beard he is resembling our old friend Mr. Weir more and more.

That was a fun game to watch. And as usual, after staying up through 3 overtimes, the team I was cheering for lost.

Still, even though I can't bring myself to cheer for the Oilers, I have to admire Smytty. That is one tough guy. Spits out some teeth in period 3 and sets up the winner in period 6. You don't see stuff like that in any other sport.

Must be nice to cheer for a team with heart.

[pouts]

Awww, you always maintained that a Sens Stanley Cup that didn't go through the Leafs wasn't worth winning anyway, didn't you Jay?

This better not mean I can't watch the rest of this mind-blowing series. I watched the ten minutes of the second where San Jose scored their goals (missed the first period--visiting relatives) and turned it off.

Sigh...oh, superstition, you are a cruel mistress.

YES!!!!

Edmonton won't lose another game this series.
How can you say Thornton is a terror even without that many points? 6 points in 8 games? If he's so great he should be getting great points but instead he's wussing out these playoffs. we have to focus on Marleau, he has twice as many points as Thornton and is their best player.

Players thought they were safe when After Hours shut down after the season but Scott Oake still lurks...
