Oilers Game Day - Wild
| ||||
Season Record: 32-22-10 | Season Record: 30-28-7 |
The Oil gas another game on two positively Conkannan-like goals. The good news is that during the first period when I was actually listening to the game, Rod and Morley were absolutely gushing about the Oilers' powerplay featuring Samsonov.
To retain a shred of morale, I'll point out that Samsonov is two points up on Lundmark . . . little victories and all that.
As for today, I don't know what to expect. The Wild have lost 6 of their last 7, the Oilers have lost 7 of their last 9. Two teams really making a strong case for that last playoff spot.
No prediction today. Maybe that will change the fortunes.
Compulsive Scoreboard Watching:
- Anaheim is at Phoenix
- Calgary at Colorado
Comments:
WTF? How can the Wild play Kernkraft 400 before they have even scored? What the hell is the world coming to?
Anyone still want to say that Huselius and Samsanov are "virtually the same player"? Man, what a goal.
Another pretty pathetic effort.
I'm not sure what to make of Mac-T right now. Samsonov on a line with Laraque and Murray?
At least Calgary got shut-out by some goalie I've never heard of, and it looks like Anaheim might finally lose one.
That was the worst game I have seen them play all season. The officiating was sketchy, but still. Just needless penalties, and god-awful goaltending. Roloson looked atrocious. Huge rebounds, out of position all the time, and flopping like a fish. To be honest, he reminded me of Bill Ranford, and that scares the crap out of me.
I was going to write about this and ended up not doing it, but Roloson has always looked like shit even when he was doing well. Cechmanek's retirement left him unchallenged as the technically craziest-looking #1 goalie in the league. You have to judge Roli by results rather than appearance, not that that's going to help him right now...
Hmm...our goaltending salvation evidently was announced a bit pre-mature..*sigh* Another year of getting Saloed out of the playoffs.
What the hell is going on in that dressing room?
No more excuses. Make the damn playoffs already.
Why always crawl in on the last day, and just be too tired to win the inevitable first round matchup against Dallas?
