!thhpppttt! [updated]

A local youth group reacts to the result of tonight's Flames-Predators game [and the Oilers-Avs game - sacamano].

It sounds like both Alberta teams outplayed the opposition but didn't get the results. !thhpppttt! indeed.

Comments:

Shots: Calgary 31 Nashville 17

Edmonton 31 Colorado 17

Symmetry? Maybe. Victory? See your title.

Q: Which NHL player outscored the entire Flames' roster tonight?

A: Mike Peca. (among others)

Jeez, some of the kids over at HF are ready to string up MacTavish and Ulanov together for tonights loss. I really can't understand how the Oilers can win 5 of their last 6, then out play a team but lose on a giveaway, and the fans are reacting like we've just topped the 7 game losing streak.

>kids over at HF

They're nothing but shreiking jackels over there.

Tough night for Alberta. Why aren't the Avalanche worse than they are? Admittedly they have a good top line but they also have injuries, mediocre defence and a so-so goalie. What gives!

Igor Ulanov had one more beauty assist than any of the Flames did last night, too. Too bad it was on the Sakic goal.

That Joe Sakic can still shoot the puck. Wow.

I didn't see the Flames game, but the Oil were pretty lethargic out there - and they still outplayed the Avs. An ugly game all around.

The good news is that for the second game in a row D-vo has been terrific.

"I really can't understand how the Oilers can win 5 of their last 6, then out play a team but lose on a giveaway, and the fans are reacting like we've just topped the 7 game losing streak. "

Personally, I have nothing to say about the fans' illogical actions.

exactly, you're talking about the same fans who screamed and screamed at their televisions for Danny Maciocia to put in Jason Maas, but then when Ricky Ray ended up taking the Eskies to victory, they all said that they agreed with that all along.

Edmonton fans are like Liberals, they swing whichever way is easiest, and they swing that way very quickly.
