Bill Wirtz, 1929-2007
Bill Wirtz, owner of the Chicago Blackhawks, has passed away. It's a harsh thing to say at this point and time, but it is doubtful that he will be missed by many Hawks fans. The Hawks have long been considered the worst franchise in professional sports, and it was in no small part due to the policies and practices of their owner. Wirtz was 77.
Comments:
It sucks to die, but no one can argue that this isn't good for Blackhawks fans (or what's left of 'em).
There but for the grace of God go we. Oilers' fans, I mean. Let's not forget that parsimonious prick Wirtz and our own beloved Dear Leader Cal were BFF.
Classy
It's no different than what was said in every single article about the guy today. Or did you have a beautiful obituary on your site you wanted to share with us?
I don't think it's too much to suggest Wirtz deserved to die.
I have to admit this dry comment made me "lol," as they say.
