Dang
via the FAN960, Joe Sports died this morning after a sustained battle with leukemia.
Joe (Collin Smith to his family and RevCan) was a terrific sports radio guy and a terrific person. It would be trite to describe him as "one of a kind", but he did what he did, and was who he was, better than anyone else ever could have been or ever will be. I'll miss him.
He was 45.

Comments:
Pretty sad. I'll definately miss his presence in the media and his trademark signoff.
See you on the darkside Joe....Sports!
A real blow to the sports media in Calgary. I've missed his spots on the morning radio (and other places) ever since I moved away from Calgary, and it's sad knowing he's gone for good.
