Flames Game Day
There's probably a reason to be upbeat, and a reason to be grouchy, for fans of all five NW teams. Tonight the Flames host the Canucks ~now on RSN West, and it sure is time for them to reassert themselves in this matchup (although in the 6-5 OTL on the 27th, the Flames outshot the Canucks 28-7 in periods 2 & 3). It'd also be an ideal way to push off to start getting some separation from the rest of the division.
Let's recycle a prediction gone wrong: Calgary wins 4-0 (Iginla, Lombardi, Hamrlik, and Friesen). Go Flames.
Comments:
4-0? You're halfway there.
Oh, you said 4-0 Flames....
What's the deal with the Canucks seemingly owning the Flames these days? 3 straight losses in head to head matchups heading into tonight, looking on their way to number four....very weird.
3-2 after two (tracking this one along with the Oiler PPV broadcast). Whenever we check out the Flames/Canucks game, seems like there's a ton of end-to-end action.
Millions is stunningly stupid. Calling for penalties here and there against Vancouver, but NO mention of a missed interference call that directly contributed to Lombardi's first goal of the night.
A homer like that must be difficult to listen to even for Flame fans. Just awful.
Keep recycling that prediction, Matt. Maybe someday, you'll get it right.
Pleasant results all around for Oilers fans tonight. Any night Edmonton wins and Calgary loses is good enough for me. And hey, my Habs won, too. Double yay.
Are the Oilers allowed to think about first place again?
Just curious what the Flames fan consensus opinion is on the subject.
Whoa...18 powerplays total?
Was McGeough trying to be the show again or something?
Every time we switched channels to check the score, somebody was on the powerplay....
Oilers win, Flames lose. That's a good night in my books.
The game has to be all about Magoo.
I just wish the Flames could make it all about them when they play the Nuckle-heads. That team is just junk, and has no business being competitive in this division, but it has stuffed its knees in the Flames' and the Oilers' balls the last 3 weeks. Our teams have let these guys hang around. Enough is enough.
That team is just junk, and has no business being competitive in this division
Any team with Roberto Luongo and Sedin x 2 is not junk.
Oh, God.
I'm noticing a theme around the Oilogosphere that Habs = bad. I'm kind of curious about that.
