Is there any reason on Earth why we shouldn't take
Mark Recchi off of re-entry waivers ? He would cost less than a million bucks, and he has to be better than somebody in our top 12 forwards. Or am I nuts here? I haven't exactly been following his career lately -- is he really that bad?
Well, Kevin Lowe was saying earlier this season that they didn't have enough cap room to bring guys up from the minors, so I don't know if he thinks he can take on the additional salary. My guess is that Carolina scoops up Recchi.
ReplyDeleteAre you telling me that Lowe can't find a way to shed 850,000 in salary? Really?
ReplyDelete50 Crosbies....I mean Contracts already
ReplyDeleteAre you telling me that Lowe can't find a way to shed 850,000 in salary? Really?
ReplyDeleteWell, I could find a way to shed 850,000 in salary, but I can not speak for our General Manager.
Perhaps they're worried that having Recchi would interfere with Zach Stortini's playing time.
ReplyDeleteYeah, wouldn't want to derail Stortini's development. He's made so many leaps and bounds.
ReplyDeleteWhy not? Petr Nedved.
