But they said you were dead! You must be - double dead!
No greater example exists of the Pens need for goaltending than the return of Conkannen. Giddy glove tap to Mirtle for the news.
Whew. It's been a busy Friday.

"The native of Anchorage, AK, has a career National Hockey League record or 30-24-4 with a 2.65 goals against average in 76 games with the Edmonton Oilers, Columbus Blue Jackets and Buffalo Sabres."
Wait a second, he has a winning record in the NHL?! Is this some sort of exam-studying related mirage?
When did under-performing goalies become the left-handed pitchers of the NHL?
I honestly thought his last game was Game 1 of the SCF, but he's had plenty of starts since. Weird.
If Fleury had been injured, I can't imagine that Pittsburgh wouldn't have offered a pick for Bryzgalov (they have the cap space, right?). They could always have waived him later.
I think the real question regarding the Bryzgalov waiver deal is that Auld was traded only a week and a bit later.
"Boston Bruins traded Nate DiCasmirro and a 5th round draft selection in 2009 to the Phoenix Coyotes for Alex Auld."
Fishy?
Boston had an emergency need for a netminder; Fernandez, Thomas and Sigalet are all out hurt.
That's why the Auld move was made.
And here I thought they'd just have Bing Crosby strap on the pads. With those strong legs, that will to win, and those fantastic pipes, he can do anything.
Crosby.
